From Prospect Digest · Data through 2026-08-31
A real edition, delivered on Monday 31 August 2026. Each edition carries a lead, up to three further strong developments and, on some mornings, one worth watching. Never padded: when nothing strong enough clears the bar, there is no edition at all.
Every example on this page carries its date. In the fall, Nine Signal follows the prospects playing in the Arizona Fall League, and the research desk publishes only when something clears the bar.

Prospect Digest is the research desk inside Nine Signal. It writes Morning Signal, the morning board and the research on each player’s page. Read the research
In season, the desk sorts the previous day’s games into a board. The Action Zone is its top. Top Conviction is the strongest hot runs, each against the player’s own season rate. Concerns are the cold ones: a cold arm is a pitcher, a cold streak a hitter. Status Changes holds promotions and moves down.
Follow a player and his games join one live board. Alerts are push notifications, and you choose how much you hear, player by player:
Two one-night overrides, Follow Closely Tonight and Mute Tonight, cover a single game and expire on their own. Signals stay on the board; they never buzz your phone. Nine Signal is a web app you add to your home screen on iPhone or Android.
His live state and next game sit at the top. Underneath is his dossier, the desk’s research on him: his numbers against players at his level and his place on the Nine Signal Prospect Index. A player the desk hasn’t covered can still be followed, and his page says so.
On 23 September, Morning Signal flagged his walk rate.
At 22, at the top level of the minors, he was walking once every seven plate appearances, against about once every twelve across all his Triple-A games, a total that includes this stretch.
| Triple-A window | BB | PA | BB% |
|---|---|---|---|
| Last 30 daysAug 25 – Sep 20 | 13 | 91 | 14.3% |
| All Triple-AJul 21 – Sep 20, incl. the last 30 days | 18 | 209 | 8.6% |
Whether it holds. Ninety-one plate appearances is small and walk rates swing: a reason to look again, not proof his approach changed. His next games were in the Arizona Fall League, which began on 3 October.
About these numbers. The comparison is the one the research used: his Triple-A total, which includes those same 91 plate appearances. Based on the 23 September research, not a copy of the edition; its hard-hit figure is left out because the tracking data behind it was later found incomplete. The Fall League is separate roster context, from Nine Signal’s roster capture of 15 September.
