MiLB park factors, 2026
A park factor is one number for how much a ballpark helps or hurts hitters. 100 is an average park. Above 100, more runs (or home runs) are scored there than in an average park; below 100, fewer. This table gives every one of the 119 Triple-A, Double-A, High-A and Single-A parks two of them: a runs factor and a home-run factor.
How to read the table
- Hodgetown (Amarillo Sod Poodles): runs factor 148. About 48% more runs are scored there than in an average park. The highest in the table: a hitter's park.
- Dickey-Stephens Park (Arkansas Travelers): runs factor 71. About 29% fewer runs than average. The lowest: a pitcher's park.
- Each number is a percentage of average: 115 means about 15% more than average, 90 means about 10% fewer. The small figure under each number says the same thing as a percent. On a wider screen, the bar beside it grows right of its center line above 100 and left below it.

What is a park factor?
A park factor compares the runs scored in a team's home games with the runs scored in its road games. The same clubs play in both, so the difference is mostly the ballpark: its fences, its altitude, its weather and how far the ball carries there.
How do I read 100?
100 is an average park. A runs factor of 110 means about 10% more runs are scored there than in the same clubs' road games, which stand in for an average park; 90 means about 10% fewer. The home-run factor works the same way and moves much more than runs do: a park can be 100 for runs and 125 for home runs.
How are these park factors calculated?
For each park we divide runs per game in the home club's home games by runs per game in that club's road games. Home runs work the same way. A single season uses that season's games only. The 3-year number pools the last three seasons, counting the newest three times, the one before twice and the oldest once, by games played. A park needs at least 20 home games to get a number. Every regular-season game comes from MLB's official schedule and box scores.
For our own player numbers we pull the 3-year figure halfway back toward 100, because one park's history is still a small sample. The table shows the figure before that pull. A park with fewer than three seasons of history uses the seasons it has.
Our single-season numbers closely match the standard published single-season park factors.
How should I use a park factor?
Check where a player played half his games before you judge his line. A rough rule: a season line is helped or hurt by about half the park's distance from 100, because half his games are on the road. In a 120 home-run park a hitter's home run total is inflated by about 10%, and a pitcher's home runs allowed look about 10% worse than his pitching was. When a player is promoted or traded, compare his old park with his new one before reading a change in his numbers as a change in him.
What park factors can't tell you
- Runs and home runs only. We don't publish factors for doubles, walks or strikeouts, or separate ones for left- and right-handed hitters.
- One season is noisy. A minor-league club plays about 66 home games, 75 in Triple-A, and one hot month can move a season's number a lot. The 3-year number is steadier.
- Parks change. New fences, a new ballpark or a club moving starts a fresh history. The trend shows when a park's number jumps.
- Every game at a park counts. A park shared by two clubs gets one number for both, and any other regular-season minor-league game played there counts too.
- A factor describes the park, not the player. It tells you how much to adjust a line, not what a player will do next.
